Swetha is an Indian American author based in California and a MFA graduate from the University of San Francisco. She has published works across genres in several journals, including Atticus Review, Maudlin House, Flash Fiction Magazine, Masters Review, and others. Her work in fiction revolves around first-generation Indian Immigrants in the United States, tracing back to their cultural roots, and identity and navigating through their trials and tribulations in a foreign land. 

Swetha is also deeply passionate about learning and sharing the craft of storytelling by engaging in conversations with diverse authors. She has done over 20 author interviews published in literary journals.

Swetha published 2 chapbooks in 2024 and was long listed in Florida Review and Alcove Chapbook contest. Her stories have been nominated for Pushcart Prize and Best of the net nominations and longlisted for Wigleaf 2024. Her writing has received support from Tin House, Kenyon Review Writers workshop, Community of Writers, and The Writers Grotto.

Swetha’s memoir titled 'A Turbulent Mind-My Journey to Ironman 70.3’ was mentioned at the New York Book Festival 2021. She was bestowed the prestigious Tagore Literary Award and was recognized amongst the Top 100 Indian authors in 2021.

Swetha also has a BS, MS and MPhil in Psychology and has done creative non-fiction writing courses at Stanford University.
